I came to Mr Jain as a NHS patient and from the beginning I was impressed with his knowledge, professionalism and understanding of my condition. On my very first consultation Mr Jain took time with me explaining everything so I could understand it I was never rushed or felt pressurised to get done quick. The actual procedure went so well and I was impressed with the after care and follow up appointments. Summing up I would say Dr Jain is a credit to his profession, easy to understand, approachable if I could choose a consultant it would always be Dr Jain

Mr Jain's professional profile and the reviews you are reading here will tell you what you need to know in order to make your choices. There is little I can add other than to fully endorse what others have said. I consider myself very fortunate as an NHS patient in The One Hospital Ashford to have been allocated such an outstanding surgeon. My surgery on 18thMarch 2023 was for knee arthroscopy to repair complex meniscal tears. As a 75 yr old I did question both myself and Mr Jain regarding the risk /benefit for me, but was reassured by his responses .I am so pleased that I went ahead with the op as I am now- a month later- getting back to my normal self. I believe it helped my recovery time by having kept up with as much muscle strengthening exercise as I was able to do in the months following my injury and preceding my surgery I can walk and cycle again without pain, but still keeping up my physio regime -as you must!. I would like to add that ALL the care I received at the hospital was exceptional.

Mr Rohit Jain performed a total hip replacement on my right hip early January 2023. Before surgery I was walking with a prominent limp and activities that I enjoyed doing such as going for walks and being physically active had not been possible for a few years. Following surgery my recovery has been amazing and 3 months on I now walk normally, I have no pain and unless I tell people they would never know I had hip surgery. This surgery has changed my life for the better and I am very grateful to Mr Rohit Jain.

Mr Rohit Jain was an excellent consultant very friendly and approachable, as well as completely reassuring in his approach with me as his patient. The full knee replacement operation performed has gone well and is already making a substantial difference to my everyday activities, in particular my ability to walk a reasonable distance pain free which has improved greatly after only three months. I am very hopeful that longer term my quality of life will vastly improve. I would highly recommend Mr Jain.

From the outset Dr Jain was open and clear about my condition and prognosis. He talked through my options so I had all the facts to hand to make a clear and informed decision. I was living daily with server knee pain and it was obvious to me that I required a TKR. This was my second knee replacement, having the first back in 2019. I was young for the surgery at 48 but Dr Jain was supportive and answered all my questions. The surgery went ahead on the 18 March. The experience from booking in on the day of the surgery and the surgery it’s self was exceptional. The care and compassion I received from the anaesthetists to the recovery team through to the aftercare from the nurses was second to none. After the surgery, the physio came round and supported me through the exercises that is required after knee surgery. The pain you feel after surgery is server, and you first question yourself, “was it worth it” I can say now, yes it is. The pain last for a while but over the weeks you will feel it diminishing. You have to listen to Dr Jain and the pysio about completing your exercise. It will be painful every time you do these and you question, is this helping. Without regular exercise the knee will not function correctly and you will have other pain issues to deal with. There is a fine line between pushing yourself and doing to much. But the exercise are a key component of recovery. After my first TKR I went back to being able to run and play netball again. I hope to do the same this time.
